Lindsay Ries, RCC, CCC

Lindsay specializes in working with individual adults (ages 18+) who have been impacted by trauma, and as a result, are experiencing challenges such as relational issues, low reaction time, anger, depression, anxiety, shame, loneliness, loss of identity, and poor boundaries.

She loves to bring humour into her sessions. She is authentic and laughs at herself when she uses the wrong word or gives a ridiculous analogy to explain a concept. At the end of the day, we are all human, and her desire is to connect with people and just be human together.

Lindsay uses an integrative approach to counselling, tailored to each client, as she believes that every person and their needs are unique. She is trained in both Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI), and Lifespan Integration (LI) which are evidenced-based trauma therapies that not only reduce one’s symptoms, but completely alleviate them. She offers support to those seeking personal growth, healing, and desiring a greater understanding of self.

Who is Lindsay outside the therapy room? What you see is what you get! Lindsay promises to always be herself in her sessions. Some of her favourite things to do include being outdoors, camping, hiking, travelling, and meeting new people. Fun fact: She once rode an ostrich!
